    • What did you think of ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ movie? (*SPOILERS Alert*) Okay fans- with a brand-new Star Wars film out, after six and half years since the last film ('The Rise of Skywalker'), what was your honest opinion? What did you like? What did you dislike? Here's mine: What I liked: Great world-building and adventure (Nal Hutta, moon of Shakari) Good action and fighting scenes Lots of new creatures and species (especially seeing the Dejarik creatures 'come to life') What I disliked: The movie was more of a side story than a film that progresses the larger points of Star Wars (like Thrawn's Empire, Luke's Jedi Order, restoring Mandalore and the Mandalorians, etc) The pacing was sometimes off; really fast-paced for more than half the movie, with a really slow, drawn-out spot when Djarin is injured that lasted way too long- and happened right when a more gripping climactic crescendo should have been taking place What did you think?

    • Are droids in Star wars sentient? This is a big question. But there are also big amounts of evidence supporting both sides of the argument. Droids, as we know, were programmed by living beings to resemble the organism's traits so that it could communicate and work for the organism. Over time, I believe, the droids have learned more. This is probably both by them learning (or adding to their databanks) new things or them being programmed into them. And we can see that the longer a droid is kept with the same memory, the more personality it develops. As seen in the Star wars continuity, first order and empire droids have less personality. Strange, right? Well this isn't exactly programming. What these organizations are doing is wiping the droids' memories periodically so that they do not develop personality. Back to basic human feelings. Droids have been known to care for others. Like R2-D2 will save someone they know to be in danger even if it is not requested of them. Playing devils advocate, however, is that droids will sometimes have a superseding order that makes them do something first or in place of before another personal task. Mostly, droids don't really get bored. We don't know for sure, but my guess is that droids get bored only because they want to be more like humans. Another thing. Droids feeling pain? This can't be true. But somehow it is. In an episode of the Clone Wars, C-3PO and R2-D2 are on a mission for getting supplies when C-3PO gets captured and interrogated. C-3PO actually winces when he gets shocked. He also fears the pain, and anticipates a pain reaction from it. Droids can also 'hear,' but just a different way. Also, Droids can smell? In the new show, Maul: Shadow Lord, Two boots comments on the smell of an area. That's new information. Droids are also super protective of the idea that they are sentients. Droids like L3-37 have even rebels for this vision. I am curious to hear people's thoughts on this, because it is a puzzling subject.

    • Was the reason Yoda was crazy on Dagobah in the OT because he was on spice? This may seem like a joke, but it is sort of canonical. In Star Wars Encyclopedia (2025), under the 'Yoda's Hut' section, it states that in one corner of his hut is his spice collection. Does this NOT make sense? He gets blown away by a flashlight, for goodness sakes. If you want more proof, remember that only about 20 years passed between when he was a Jedi grand master and a total lunatic living in a mud hut. Share your opinion. I'm curious. Maybe Yoda said yes to deathsticks when Obi-wan didn't. I guess we'll never know.

    • Does anyone else think that there could be other Mando/Jedi (besides Sabine)? I know it’s not likely because the Mandalorians hate the Jedi, but it says in Tarre Vizla’s Wookiepedia page “Tarre Vizsla was a Force-sensitive human male who, was inducted into the Jedi Order around 1050 BBY, becoming the first Mandalorian to do so.” ‘First Mandalorian’ it basically implies that other mandos became Jedi! I don’t know much about the EU/legends besides Karen Traviss’s Republic Commando novels so I don’t know if there already are/were; I know that technically now Sabine is in the Ahsoka show. But I want to know if there are others. It would be great for one to show up in coming shows and movies even in the background.
