Odona was a remote, harsh, rocky planet located in the Outer Rim Territories. Much of the planet was also covered by seas. Underneath ruins depicting four-armed warriors, Odona had networks of tunnels and secret alcoves that pirates and smugglers used to avoid the Galactic Empire.

While looking for a new base for the Rebel Alliance after the Battle of Yavin, Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa traveled to Odona. They nearly froze to death during a severe snowstorm; the vengeful Nikto named Frax froze solid while attempting to shoot Organa.
