The 'Rise of Skywalker' had potential, and there were certainly things to like- but overall, it felt like the same story told over from prior works- particularly with Palpatine returning as the villain again. Kylo Ren's redemption made for a touching part of the story with his mother's death, amongst other aspects. Despite this however, the story left more wanting.
