The Chalactans were a human species native to the planet, Chalacta. They were thought to be very peaceful and spiritual. They were also thought to be generally well-respected, and legend has it that they were famous for their spiritual order known as the Chalactan Adepts, though this has yet to be confirmed. On Chalacta, Chalactans frequently lived in small farms and cities.

Very few chalactans are mentioned by name in the current canon, but two known to us were both Force users: Depa Billaba and Sar Labooda.
