Dyplotids were a sentient species that possessed four eyes, allowing them to see ultraviolet and infrared light. They had a very tall, flat nasal bridge with a slightly down-turned mouth. In addition, they possessed round, dark fingertips but otherwise, were quite human in appearance.

Members of the species were seen at the Lodge on Vandor and the First Light. Craykan was a member of this species who was one of the three Tech Masters who ruled the planet Trionak.
