Even though neither Ahsoka or Rey were Skywalkers by blood, and the end of Rise of Skywalker, Rey claims she is a Skywalker. But let’s face it, I believe that Ahsoka had a relationship with Anakin that was very similar to a brother and a sister. Rey did have the Skywalker twins mentor her, but she didn’t really have a brother/sister relationship, or even really a parental relationship. Let me know if you think Ahsoka deserves the name Ahsoka Skywalker Tano more then Rey does!

This is a really good point. I think you are right that Ahsoka’s connection to Anakin (and thus the Skywalker line) was so strong that she is a lot more of a Skywalker than Rey in many ways. Even Ahsoka’s battle tactics were certainly influenced by Anakin in a way that made her a unique strategist just like Anakin. Ahsoka also shows she has a deep connection to Anakin when she is at a cross roads in the Force, nearly dead and Anakin’s memory appears to her as seen in ‘Ahsoka Season 1’.
One thing that I think Rey does have going for her, however, is that she had a dyad in the Force with Ben as a Skywalker. In addition, when Ben poured his life force into Rey to bring her back to life, this in many ways made her a Skywalker in a Force-like sense that we may not fully yet understand based on current canon. Either way, I think you make some good points about Ahsoka and I’ll be interested to see if in ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ we learn any more about Ahsoka that makes her more like a Skywalker.
