Valo was a forested planet in the Valo system on the edge of the Rseik sector. It was where the sentient avian Alcedian species originated. During the time of the High Republic Era, the Galactic Republic hosted the Republic Fair on Valo, with dignitaries and visitors from across the galaxy visiting the planet to attend. Around this time, Jedi Master Elzar Mann was intneded to take up the poision as the marshal of Valo’s Jedi Temple, however, a Nihil attack on Valo left much of the planet destroyed and hundreds of thousands dead. After the destruction of Starlight Beacon, Valo was again attacked by the Nihil and locked within the Occlusion Zone.
