All across the world – whether directly or indirectly, the story of Star Wars has influenced the lives of nearly everyone. From merchandise and apparel to memes and quoted sayings like “I am your father”, Star Wars has undisputedly left its mark on pop culture. From what began as a simple science fiction tale, now is a complex story of interwoven characters, ideas, and lore. And today, decades after the original story debuted in 1977, behind all that lore lies an immense fan base. From the amateur movie-goer to the obsessed Star Wars fan and author of multiple Wookiepeedia articles, there is a place for everyone in the Star Wars Community.
But what truly makes someone a Star Wars Fan? Is it that they dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi for Halloween eight years ago? Perhaps it’s because they sip hot chocolate from a stormtrooper mug in the winter? Or is it simply because they’ve seen all the movies at some time or another? Truthfully, there is no fair way to answer this question, but there are several Star Wars quizzes out there on the Internet purporting that passing them signifies you must be a “True Fan.”
Despite this however, no one has really put the question to the test; until now. At True Star Wars Fans, we have not only created a standardized exam to identify True Fans, but we also work to form an entire community of Star Wars fans. This website serves as a hub to connect the greater Star Wars Community to fan-based websites, gain exclusive privilege to rating the films, books, and more. There are many opinions out there on the web providing ratings to Star Wars content, but these ratings are often skewed by the general public. So what do the fans actually think? Well, here on the site, we can tell you.
Through our extensive network of quizzes, we not only plan to establish what a True Fan is, but also to create an entire ranking system of fans – from the basic fan, to the more serious fan, to the complete Star Wars Scholar (yes- there is such a thing). Our website will set a standard for classifying them all. And this is just the beginning- we have much, much more in the works.
