Book Description: A Jedi must be a fearless warrior, a guardian of justice, and a scholar in the ways of the Force. But perhaps a Jedi's most essential duty is to pass on what they have learned. A thoughtful and compelling story, Master & Apprentice does a good job characterizing the complex and even strained relationship between Qui-Gon and his apprentice, Obi-Wan in a convincing way. Their journey together on a mission to Pijal shows both their strengths and weaknesses as a pair in a way that sets up their relationship in The Phantom Menace to be more meaningful and awing.
