Selonians were a sentient species from the world of Selonia. They had particularly light-sensitive eyes, which meant that they were especially vulnerable to the weapons known as flashsticks, which emitted a bright flash of light to stun their target when used.

The type of weapon known as the shard shooter was a unique Selonian slugthrower that used electromagnetic propulsion to fire razor-sharp crystalline ammunition. It was popular with local defense forces on Selonia, but those taking it offworld were often questioned and hassled about the nature of the weapon.
