Lew’el is a planet in Wild Space covered with oceans. The settlers who came to the Wild Space planet a long time ago named the new world Lew’el, because it means “deluge”, and lived by the sea, which provided everything they needed. Despite this, Lew’el remained a largely forgotten world.

Lew’el was where Luke Skywalker learned to spearfish, something that would help him survive during his time on Ahch-To.
